Welcomed Students From Kita Otsu Special-Needs High School, Shiga

On September 9, 2020, Toray Engineering’s subsidiary, Toray Engineering West Co., Ltd. (head office: Otsu, Shiga; President: Ichiro Fukui; hereafter Toray Engineering West) hosted a company visit by 16 students from Kita Otsu Special-Needs High School in Shiga. The visit’s goal was to provide the students with learning opportunities for their future career choices. In response to a request from the school, Toray Engineering West supported this visit as a part of its CSR activities.

During the visit, preventive measures against COVID-19 were taken. In classes, Toray Engineering West’s corporate profile was introduced and the mental attitude of a businessperson was shared. The students also visited the control panel production area and experienced wire processing. All of the students actively asked questions, and listened intently, taking notes. Their attitudes were very impressive.

We rank Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as one of our essential management tasks. As a good corporate citizen, we continue our active involvement in and contributions to local communities.
