Introducing “TRENG Factory AI” at the “5th SMART FACTORY Expo”

Toray Engineering Co., Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO & COO: Takashi Iwade; hereinafter “TRENG”) will exhibit at “Factory Innovation Week 2026 September (Tokyo) - 5th SMART FACTORY Expo,” to be held from September 9 (Wed.) through September 11 (Fri.), 2026.

With “TRENG Factory AI” as its key concept, TRENG will showcase AI-powered factory automation solutions.
As AI technology is increasingly applied to equipment control and automation, TRENG will combine the expertise it has accumulated over many years in automation and factory automation (FA) with its AI technologies for “identification,” “execution,” and “prediction,” including image analysis, faster and more accurate equipment control, and the use of process data to stabilize processes, improve quality, and save energy. These AI technologies have been developed through its work with semiconductor inspection and packaging equipment, coating equipment for secondary batteries, and other systems. By extending them from individual equipment across the entire plant, TRENG will present solutions to further automate and advance manufacturing operations.
At the exhibition, TRENG will present case studies demonstrating its contributions to automation, labor savings, and higher productivity across the semiconductor, secondary battery, aircraft, pharmaceutical and healthcare, and chemical plant sectors.
