Water Quality AnalyzersHigh Sensitivity TOC Automatic Analyzer (for ultrapure water)
TOC-780
TOC-780 water quality analyzer
The TOC-780 is a high-sensitivity, automatic TOC analyzer which quickly and accurately measures the total organic carbon content of pure water and water from rivers and other sources, in either online or offline mode.
The TOC-780 achieves superior usability and space savings, based on the previous TOC-700 Series which achieved high-speed response (90% response within five minutes) with continuous measurement system developed by Toray's technology.
Features
- TOC absolute values can be measured using system blank analysis and dilution water correction for calibration liquid.
- The auto zero and automatic diagnosis functions enable stable measurement over the long-term.
- The system employs a wet UV oxidation/CO2 detection system for continuous measurement and high-speed response.
- Applicable to a wide range of samples, from pure water to river water.
Application
- Water quality management for pure water used in semiconductor manufacturing
- Water supply, drug manufacture, food, and chemical engineering water quality management
- Steam drain and other process management
- Other general pure water quality management
Measurement principle
To calculate total organic carbon, firstly, after inorganic carbon is removed from sample water using an IC scrubber, organic carbon is efficiently oxidized and converted to carbon dioxide by adding an oxidant and irradiating with powerful UV rays in a UV reactor. secondly, concentration of the converted carbon dioxide is measured by an infrared analyzer to get the TOC calibration curve, then comparing with the carbon dioxide gas concentration, registered in advance in the data processing unit.
