Notice concerning oxygen analyzers

Use of Refractory Ceramic Fiber in Toray Oxygen Analyzers and Regulatory Compliance Status

On November 1, 2015, refractory ceramic fiber (RCF) was added to the chemical substances regulated under the Ordinance on Prevention of Hazards Due to Specified Chemical Substances.
RCF is used as an insulation material in the sensors of our oxygen analyzers, so we wish to inform our customers of the following.

Impact on our customers

• The latest revision of the ordinance will not affect the use of oxygen analyzers that have been newly purchased or are already in operation.
• RCF will not leak out of the oxygen analyzer if the product is used in accordance with the user manual.
• Product disposal must be performed appropriately by an industrial waste disposal operator.
  When disposing of the product, inform the industrial waste disposal operator that the oxygen analyzer contains RCF.

This applies to all products manufactured in November 2016 or earlier.

Exemptions from the ordinance

RCF is used in the following devices. However, they are exempted from the ordinance due to there being no possibility of dispersion.
